On Friday, Mecone teams from across Australia united in Sydney for our highly anticipated annual Business Planning Day.

Last week, Mecone was proud to sponsor and attend the Planning Institute Australia (PIA) National Congress 2025 in Darwin, Garramilla Country. The Congress continues to be a cornerstone for ideas, innovation, and connection in our industry.

At last week’s Development Summit (10 May 2025) Mecone’s Executive Chair Ben Hendriks unveiled fresh modelling that stress‑tests the State’s new Low‑ & Mid‑Rise Housing Policy (LMR) and Transit‑Oriented Development (TOD) program across 22 centres from St Ives to Milsons Point.

At the April 2025 PIA Streamlined Housing Assessment Event, Ben Hendriks, Executive Chairman of Mecone, presented new analysis examining the relationship between planning effort, development risk, and assessment outcomes across the NSW planning system.

Yesterday at Mecone, we celebrated Harmony Day – a day that honours Australia’s cultural diversity and promotes inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for all.

On Thursday evening, we hosted Mecone Sunset Drinks, bringing together colleagues, clients, and friends to enjoy a great evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us – it was a wonderful night filled with meaningful conversations and connections.
