About the project

Det Norske Veritas (DNV) are an independent expert in assurance and risk management who provide independent advice and expertise in energy generation, including onshore and offshore wind and solar PV, transmission and distribution, grids, storage, e-mobility, as well as energy management, energy markets and regulations. DNV help identify and manage the opportunities and risks involved in such projects.

For projects which had been approved, Mecone’s assessments included the review of Commonwealth, State, and local regulations, government approvals, conditions of consent and all subconsultant reports prepared for the project, in order to identify any potential risks.

For projects yet to be approved, Mecone provided valuable insights into the primary challenges that might hinder future development of sites. Our assessments included the review of a range of factors, such as site control, leases and permitting and potential conflicts with existing site infrastructure and the local community. Our reports also considered potential impacts related to biodiversity, heritage, archaeology, aboriginal heritage, visual impacts, noise, bushfire, flooding and waste.
