Burwood Urban Park & Cultural Centre at 2-4 Conder Street

Mecone is proud to have assisted Burwood Council in securing planning approval from the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel for the Burwood Urban Park Arts and Cultural Centre at 2-4 Conder Street, Burwood.

Responding to the needs of a growing population, the project aims to address three key issues facing Burwood – the need for more public open space, more community facilities and a cultural centre with purpose-built spaces to support arts and cultural outcomes in the Burwood locality and broader region.

Designed by CHROFI and TyrellStudio, the project will transform the existing Burwood library car park into a multi-purpose recreational, community and cultural facility inclusive of theatrette, community lounge, public plaza and interactive water play features. Well done to Burwood Council and the project team in obtaining approval for this exciting project.
