The brief responds to identified gaps in the Shire’s cultural and creative infrastructure network, with a particular focus on the provision of accessible, flexible and fit-for-purpose spaces to support creative practice, workshops, exhibitions, rehearsal, small-scale performance, youth engagement and broader community participation in the arts. The brief is informed by findings from the Social Infrastructure Needs Assessment and outcomes from community engagement undertaken across the Shire

Mecone provided a number of  services including:

• A Functional Scoping Brief for a new Community Arts Facility, informed by the Social Infrastructure Needs Assessment and community engagement
• Assessment of a broad range of creative uses including arts production, exhibitions, workshops, performance and youth engagement
• An internal delivery framework including indicative costings, recommended spatial provisions and detailed functional requirements
• Document design and graphic presentation to support communication and decision-making
