About the Project

The Central to Eveleigh Urban Renewal and Transport Program is a major new strategy of the NSW Government to extend Sydney’s Central Business District beyond its existing
southern boundary, creating opportunities for investment on an international scale that will renew and transform the Central to Eveleigh Corridor.
The program will deliver a number of exciting residential, commercial and mixed-use precincts over short, medium and long term. Existing and new residents, workers and students will benefit from improved connectivity over the rail corridor and new public places, parks and community facilities.

Mecone was engaged by UrbanGrowth NSW as part of a team of specialist consultants to provide a corridor master plan as well as precinct-specific structure plans for the study area. Mecone’s role in the project included the provision of strategic advice, review and advice on the applicable planning controls, the provision of a gaps analysis and ongoing advice into the preparation of the corridor strategy and structure plans.
