About the project

This site was recently owned and occupied by the local Council but a recent scheme amendment saw the site be rezoned and primed for development. The building comprises of a mix of one and two bedrooms to accommodate young families and older residents within the City of Knox. The building utilised a combination of materials and finishes alongside recessed facades to enhance the streetscape of Church Street. Extensive glazing has also been incorporated across all facades to maximise daylight and cross ventilation, improving the internal amenity of future residents. A roof top communal area will offer a high level of amenity and views of the Dandenongs.

Mecone was engaged to undertake the following tasks:

  • Preparation and lodgement of planning permit and any subsequent amendments
  • Ongoing liaison with the project team and Council to reach a consensus in design outcomes
  • Project management of the permit process up until approval.
