As part of the broader reforms reshaping the NSW planning system, the NSW Government has prepared and publicly exhibited the proposed  Climate Change and Natural Hazards State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP).

Development Coordination Authority: Proposed Framework on Exhibition

The NSW Government has placed on exhibition a proposed regulatory framework supporting the Development Coordination Authority (DCA), a new model intended to centralise and coordinate State agency input into development applications and planning proposals.

Design Competition exemption available to all Residential SSDs

Updates to the Planning Systems SEPP (published today, 14 November) have now come into force. They all allow Residential State Significant Development to seek an exemption from carrying out a required competitive design process.

A Milestone for Renewable Energy and Infrastructure in Victoria

Amendment VC268 has now been gazetted in Victoria. The scheme amendment implements the 2025 Victorian Transmission Plan (VicGrid, 2025) into the Planning Policy Framework (PPF) and updates references to the Climate Action Act 2017

 

Plan for Victoria: Victoria’s New Statewide Framework

Amendment VC283 has now been gazetted which replaces Plan Melbourne 2017 – 2050 with the newly released Plan for Victoria. The Amendment updates the Victoria Planning Provisions and all planning schemes to bring Plan for Victoria to life.
