As Mecone enters its next phase of growth, this group will provide independent, experienced insight to support our Board and Executive Leadership Team – with a focus on strategy, governance, commercial discipline, market positioning, and growth across the eastern seaboard, aligned to Mecone’s five-year strategy.

We’re delighted to welcome our inaugural members:

Kathy Mitchell AM – Victoria
Kathy brings deep expertise in strategic planning, governance and independent decision-making. She served for 20 years as Chief Panel Member of Planning Panels Victoria, leading major inquiries including the Suburban Rail Loop, Metro Tunnel and the desalination project. Kathy currently sits on the Advisory Board of Villawood Properties and the BaptistCare Affordable Housing Board and was awarded Member of the Order of Australia for services to town planning.

Peter Devine – New South Wales
Peter is a former CEO of Manidis Roberts, which operated nationally before being acquired by RPS. He now works in venture capital as a Partner at Beachhead Venture Capital, investing in and advising early-stage technology companies, alongside advisory roles to professional services firms.

Grey Chemello – Queensland
Greg brings extensive experience across state and local government, infrastructure, property and regulation. His roles have included senior positions in the Queensland Department of State Development, State Planner for Queensland, General Manager of Economic Development Queensland, Administrator of Ipswich City Council, and CEO of Moreton Bay Regional Council. Greg currently chairs the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.
