Lithgow is at a pivotal developmental stage, and to meet the moment Council is driving an ambitious strategy to diversify the Region’s economy toward renewables, advanced manufacturing and a growing visitor economy.

The need for coordinated long-term planning has never been greater. Mecone’s work will bring together five major studies:

• Local Housing Strategy
• Employment Lands Strategy
• Rural Lands Strategy
• Local Environmental Plan Review
• Infrastructure Capacity & Prioritisation Plan

Together, these will form statutory precursors and shape a clear, evidence-based framework for sustainable, resilient and community-centred growth across Lithgow.
