The proposal outlines a vision for a vibrant transit oriented neighbourhood featuring:
• A new town centre with community facilities, library, shops and cafes
• A diverse mix of housing including 5-10% affordable housing
• Taller buildings within the town centre transitioning to mid rise apartments and terraces
• Walkable streets and new cycling connections linking homes, parks and the Metro
•Protection of Blue Gum High Forest and a 14 percent increase in tree canopy coverage
• Approximately 210 new jobs as the precinct develops
This moves well beyond the original Cherrybrook Place Strategy from 2022 by setting the higher density envelope and dwelling yield now at a State level and locking in a 36 year delivery horizon that will stage growth with infrastructure.
The exhibition period closes Friday 5 December 2025.
