We’re pleased to share that Mecone, working alongside Peddle Thorp Architects, PPM Group Australasia Pty Ltd and Tanasis (https://tanasis.au/) , has secured a planning permit for a new five-storey medical centre in Oakleigh South, Melbourne.

On the edge of an industrial precinct, the site came with its fair share of planning complexities – dual zones, a Public Acquisition Overlay, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage sensitivity, easements, and two road frontages.

With the help of  MOSAIC our team was able to clearly visualise these constraints, test scenarios, and provide informed advice. This helped turn what could have been obstacles into a well considered design response that respects the site’s context while unlocking much needed medical services for the community.

This outcome shows how Mecone’s technical planning expertise, supported by our own digital tools, can deliver high-quality solutions on even the most challenging sites.

We look forward to seeing the next stage of this project come to life.
