Mecone is pleased to announce that the Planning Proposal for 407–511 King Georges Road, Beverly Hills has been called in for State-Assessment.

It’s one of five projects selected by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure as having high-potential for growth, and will benefit from a fast-tracked, State assessed rezoning.

We’ve been working alongside the Beverly Hills Owners Association (BHOA) and broader project team for a number of years to unlock the full potential of the 1.6ha site. The need for urban renewal in the Beverly Hills Town Centre has long been acknowledged since the 1990s, with the wider Town Centre area having been through a series of challenging masterplanning attempts by Council.

This proposal represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver a master-planned vision for a large landholding to the west of King Georges Road that will help catalyse the redevelopment of the wider town centre and meaningfully contribute to the NSW Government’s Housing Targets.

We look forward to continued collaboration with the project team and the NSW Government. We also acknowledge and appreciate the work of the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure as they continue to respond to the housing crisis across New South Wales.
