Our Social Planning and Engagement team, supported by our partners at Unique Urban Design and Planning, recently supported the project by delivering two successful community engagement workshops, including a walking tour and interactive design charettes. The insights gathered will play a vital role in shaping the Mortdale Local Centre Future Character Statement, including specific design elements and built form outcomes for consideration in the DCP.
At Mecone, our Social Planning team specialises in facilitating meaningful engagement and translating community input into evidence-based planning outcomes that inform policy, guide future development, and help create places that are authentic, inclusive, and sustainable.
This project is one of a kind for its ability to closely relate community aspirations into planning controls, and we are excited to continue working with Georges River Council to produce a considered, locally inspired DCP for the Mortdale Local Centre.
