Mecone is proud to have assisted BSD Land in securing approval for a mixed use development at 26-34 Buckley Street, Footscray.

The site itself is iconic to Footscray being the home to the former paint spot (famous for the White Horse) and is located within the core commercial area of Footscray.

The approval granted by the City of Maribyrnong allows for an eleven-storey building comprising 7000+ sqm of office space, 90 serviced apartments, highly activated frontages and exemplar end of trip facilities.

The proposal provides much needed local employment opportunities during and post construction and will be home to the first serviced apartments in Footscray.

The building has been designed to respect the natural environment by incorporating the significant elm tree along Buckley Street into the design and provides a striking design responding to emerging character.

It has been a pleasure working with Gray Puksand Architects in obtaining approval for this exciting project in the inner west of Melbourne.
