Design Competition – 38 Anderson St, Chatswood

Congratulations to Carter Williamson Architects on their winning design. The jury praised the configuration, materiality and detailing of the podium which addresses a difficult cross-fall on the site and provides opportunity for public and common open space with a north aspect. The jury also highly commended the configuration of the two independent tower forms on site – which successfully addressed amenity and privacy for residents.

Future development will have the option to pursue height and floorspace bonuses in accordance with the Infill Affordable Housing provisions of the Housing SEPP, and could deliver around 4,500sq.m of commercial floorspace and approximately 185-250 apartments.
