Canberra Light Rail

Mecone is pleased to announce our recent engagement by the ACT Government to provide urban infill capability assessment for Stage 2B of the Canberra Light Rail project.

The purpose of the engagement is to assist in setting the strategic context and planning rationale for future urban intensification along the Stage 2B corridor between Commonwealth Park to Woden and Mawson. Our Policy and Urban Analytics team are reviewing the corridor to identify opportunities for orderly urban intensification and to provide guidance on the appropriate built urban forms, dwelling diversity and density for future development. Three scenarios will be prepared demonstrating potential for residential and employment growth to 2046.
