Alfred Street Precinct Planning Proposal

The Alfred Street Precinct Planning Proposal is currently on public exhibition. The Planning Proposal seeks to create a lively mixed use precinct which will create an appropriate transition between North Sydney CBD and adjoining residential dwellings and heritage conversation areas.

The proposal will significantly improve the ground floor plane by providing generous amounts of landscaping and creating key through site links with retail and dining areas spilling out into the laneways. The Bayer Building forms part of the precinct and there is a unique opportunity to significantly improve its façade to create a world class building. There will also be an opportunity to provide employment opportunities for small businesses and, start ups and creative uses which will create a supportive role to the North Sydney CBD.

Mecone have had the pleasure with working with Fivex, Grimshaw and Legge and Legge Architects in the last 4 years to provide planning advice and preparing the Planning Proposal.
